Our History
Meet Jon
Our story began in 2003, rooted in a deep respect for the trades. Founder Jon Powell brought the work ethic of a Wisconsin farm upbringing to the construction industry, quickly rising from a job site superintendent to an industry educator.
In 2018, Jon’s expertise was recognized when he was recruited to reform the Construction Technology curriculum at Minnesota State College Southeast. After years of teaching the next generation of builders, Jon returned to JD Powell Construction full-time in 2022 to focus on what he loves most: bringing high-quality, durable, and beautiful homes to his neighbors in the Coulee Region.
